Flan with caramel for Keto

 Keto flan with caramel is an exquisite French dessert that will decorate your table and your keto diet. The erythrite sugar substitute is best suited for its preparation, as it has a crystal-like structure similar to sugar.

Ingredients:

  • erythritol (for caramel) - 75 grams
  • water - 40 grams
  • butter - 1 tbsp. l.
  • cream 20% - 1 glass
  • egg - 2 pcs
  • yolk - 2 pcs
  • vanilla - 1 tbsp. l.
  • erythritol for cream - 50 grams

Steps to follow:

  • First, prepare the caramel syrup. To do this, heat the erythritol in a saucepan, stirring often. Then we add butter and water to it. Keep on the fire, stirring constantly, until the syrup becomes caramel.
  • Pour the syrup into 4 small bowls (ramekin)
  • Mix cream, vanilla and the remaining sugar substitute.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then mix them with cream.
  • Pour the resulting mixture on top of caramel, put in a baking dish, half filled with hot water.
  • Bake for half an hour at a temperature of 180C degrees. Then take it out of the oven and leave it in hot water for another 10 minutes.
  • After the ramekins have cooled down a bit, put them in the fridge for 4 hours.
  • The dessert is ready to use. Carefully cut the edges with a knife and turn the ramekin on a plate so that the dessert is caramel on top.
